Breakfast delights
Entitled Breakfast Delights, this series of 3 videos on DVD show in easy-to-follow steps the various
techniques for preparing breakfasts that will enthrall your guests and turn them into ambassadors for your
B&B in their exchanges with friends, family and colleagues. Each DVD comes with a CD that allows you
to print from your PC computer the recipes shown on the video. Each recipe is illustrated with a
photograph and contains a list of ingredients and the procedure for achieving the same results as seen on the DVD.
The first video, Juices, Breads and Treats is now available for ordering. Two other videos will be released
in 2007: Prepared Fruit Dishes and Main Courses.
Juices, Breads and Treats (17 recipes, 58 minutes)
The four juices presented in this video consist of the following concoctions: banana, peach yogurt in orange juice;
ice cream, raspberry and nutmeg in cranberry juice; coconut milk and pineapple chunks in pineapple juice;
a sparkling combination of orange, lime and carbonated ale.
Using easy-to-follow directions, the subsequent segment completely dispels the myth about the "difficulty"
of making flavourful breads: whole wheat with cracked wheat; shredded wheat and molasses loaf; emmental,
Swiss and parmesan rolls; orange bread; rustic rice, rolled oats and polenta loaf; fresh herbs and
goat cheese quick bread; braided raisin and cinnamon loaf, etc.
Finally, a few ideas for afternoon treats to accompany a glass of iced tea or lemonade: chocolate
chip and banana muffins, soft molasses cookies, cinnamon and walnut brioches, lemon cup cakes with icing,
oatmeal cookies, flourless chocolate delights.
